Hiking the South West Coast Path in England in April 2023 was an experience. The first day was an omen for the way ahead. Walking the first segment through the Exmoor was like walking in clouds. The sight was less than 50 meters, and I couldn’t hear a single sound. The omnipresent wetness dampened every sound. After the weather cleared, the sun warmed me up quickly.
I somewhat underestimated hiking the South West Coast Path. Due to the weather situation in March, most of the paths were muddy and hard to walk. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the views and the beauty of the countryside. Without going into too much detail, I highly recommend traveling to Devon and Cornwall.

I learned one thing about myself I didn’t know before. While walking the South West Coast Path following a high cliff with strong side winds, I had Vertigo. That didn’t feel good at all. Next time, I must avoid such sections of the path in any case.
See you next time.
